TMG’s principals are James F. Garrett and David P. Christovich, Ph.D. In 1992, Jim Garrett left his position as the Director of the System Electromagnetics Division of the Naval Sea Systems Command to start his own engineering company, SENTEL Corporation. SENTEL grew into one of the National Capital Region’s most admired and honored high-tech companies, with a staff of 375 engineers, technicians and scientists. After selling SENTEL to a division of Honeywell in 2006, Mr. Garrett founded TMG so that he could return to his most enduring interest, which is to aid entrepreneurs, small businesses and Government agencies in achieving truly worthwhile and effective staff training.

David P. Christovich, Ph.D., leads TMG’s training and education program, and has worked alongside Jim Garrett since 1996. Dr. Christovich brings a wealth of teaching, training, Government contracting, and business experience to the classroom. He has trained and coached staff ranging from technical writers and graphics specialists to senior scientists, engineers, and executives. Dr. Christovich taught at the college level for five years and has 25+ years of experience in Business Development for high-tech engineering, IT and telecom companies doing business with the Federal Government.
